"Homegrown Stories EAST SIDE FRIDAY! Join us at Enterprising Women Making Art (EWMA) for an evening of poetry, spoken word, and storytelling! Our feature word artist is Chelene Knight, whose writing is deeply rooted in her experiences of mixed ethnicity. Recently, Chelene has been exploring the idea of "home" in her writing and poetry, and she will be sharing pieces of that exploration from her second book in progress (Dear Current Occupant) with us at Homegrown Stories at the Atira Women's Resource Society 800 East Hastings Street on Friday April 29th 5-8 p.m. It will be a party so come check it out.
